Ethics of health care in the Us are rarely discussed

Where are our health care dollars going? Who benefits from the expenditure of our resources, and who is excluded? Our current system supports high tech expenditures, which benefit a privileged, and lucky few, yet fail to provide basic health care to an increasing population of uninsured. While a few, very visible persons are rescued from severely debilitating conditions, at a phenomenal, and on-going cost, a less visible portion of our population goes with out basic medical support, and contributes to our national and personal costs, at a level that is not understood by most of us.
